SURTREAT® MISSION
Our goal is to preserve, protect, restore, and repair concrete surfaces exposed to aggressive environments, pollutants, acid rain, freeze/thaw, and other destructive phenomena. We achieve this by chemically modifying the properties of Portland cement concrete by improving strength, reducing permeability, providing for chemical resistivity and inhibiting the embedded rebar corrosion.

Corrosion Inhibiting Durability for New Concrete Structures
SurCoNew is a group of corrosion inhibiting solutions to be used during construction to better design characteristics and bring longevity to new structures composed of steel reinforced Portland cement concrete.
SurCoNew concrete admixture inhibitor is added to fresh concrete mixes to prevent and minimize the onset of corrosion of the embedded reinforcement. Unlike its predecessor, Calcium Nitrite based corrosion inhibiting admixture, it does not interfere with the curing process.
Benefits of a Corrosion Inhibitor Concrete Admixture
SurCoNew concrete admixture corrosion Inhibitor other special benefits include:
• Outstanding corrosion resistance performance
• Does not interfere with the curing process
• Proven laboratory and site performance
• Simple to use – added to concrete mix directly
• Improves concrete strength
• Non-toxic environmentally friendly
• Produces long term/permanent outcomes
• Added in a comparatively small quantity
• Particularly effective on concretes exposed to aggressive chloride containing environments.
• Extends structure service life at a negligible cost
The Science Behind SurCoNew Products
This SurCoNew solution added to a concrete mix migrates in a vapor form through the cement phase micro pores and deposits on the rebar surfaces where it furnishes corrosion protection at both the anodic and cathodic sites.
It is not consumed in the course of the corrosion inhibiting process, and does not have any impact on the concrete curing process.
SurCoNew corrosion inhibitor concrete admixture improves concrete strength. It is a concrete admixture inhibitor very compatible with other additives commonly used to improve concrete quality such as air entrainment, water reducers, accelerating/retarding admixtures and superplasticizers.
A Concrete Curing Compound Designed to Last
SurCoNew concrete curing compound is developed to permanently improve the properties of the newly placed concrete surfaces in plastic states and assist curing.
SurcoNew concrete curing compound penetrates fully to combine chemically with the cement phase of concrete. All of the benefits of this SURTREAT® application are internal to concrete creating a permanent solution which:
• Increases strength
• Reduces permeability
• Resists chloride intrusion
• Resists carbonation
• Resist chemical attack
• Protects against the onset of corrosion
SurCoNew concrete curing compound does not exist on the surface. The treated surface can be painted or coated over without delay or additional surface preparation following the usual curing term. The use of the SurCoNew application does not seal off vapor transmission, and the concrete retains its ability to breathe.
