Concrete Crack Repair | Prevent Water Intrusion & Structural Damage
The Problem: Small Cracks Can Lead to Major Damage
Hairline and narrow cracks in concrete (under 1/8") may seem minor, but they allow moisture, chlorides, and contaminants to penetrate, leading to rebar corrosion, concrete deterioration, and reduced structural integrity. Over time, these cracks expand, creating larger vulnerabilities in the structure.
The Solution: Surtreat’s Crack Repair System
Surtreat provides a three-step solution to treat, repair, and protect cracks in concrete:
- TPS II: Strengthens the concrete matrix, bridges microcracks, and prevents further cracking.
- SurCoat: Fills cracks, seals the surface, and prevents moisture intrusion.
- Repel WB: A water repellent that creates a durable barrier against future contamination.
Application Process: How to Repair Cracks in Concrete
Step 1: Surface Cleaning
- Remove any loose concrete, dust, or contaminants from the crack area.
- Ensure the surrounding surface is clean and dry before application.
Step 2: Apply TPS II
- Generously apply TPS II to the cracks and surrounding areas.
- Allow penetration to strengthen the concrete matrix and bridge minor cracks.
Step 3: Apply SurCoat
- Once TPS II has dried, apply SurCoat in thin layers over the cracks.
- Continue layering until cracks are fully sealed, extending 3 inches beyond the crack for full coverage.
Step 4: Seal with Repel WB
- After SurCoat has cured, apply Repel WB to the treated area.
- This ensures a long-lasting, water-resistant surface and prevents future contamination.
Results: Why Surtreat’s Crack Repair System Works
✅ Strengthened Concrete Integrity – Reduces future cracking and spalling.
✅ Corrosion Protection – TPS II protects embedded rebar from chloride-induced corrosion.
✅ Water Repellent & Durable – Repel WB creates a long-lasting, hydrophobic barrier.
✅ Cost-Effective Maintenance – Reduces long-term repair costs and extends concrete life.
