Introduction

The Problem

Foundations are subject to various environmental and structural challenges, including water infiltration, concrete weakening, and structural shifting due to soil pressure. In coastal areas, there is an additional challenge of Chlorides from seawater infiltrating and corroding rebar. These issues can lead to cracking, bowing walls, and long-term deterioration, compromising the safety and durability of the structure. Addressing these challenges requires a comprehensive solution that focuses on strengthening the foundation and preventing water ingress.

Surtreat’s foundation protection approach is designed to address these issues from the interior, focusing on:

  1. Strengthening and Reinforcement: Strengthening the concrete to restore structural integrity and prevent further damage.

  2. Water Permeability Reduction: Treating the foundation to reduce porosity and water ingress.

  3. Crack Repair and Sealing: Sealing cracks and providing robust internal repairs to areas with exposed rebar.
