TPS XVII
Concrete Alkali-Silica Reaction (ASR) Inhibitor
Penetrating ASR Inhibitor for Long-Term Concrete Protection
TPS XVII is a surface-applied alkali-silica reaction (ASR) inhibitor designed to penetrate hardened concrete, forming a lithium ion concentration in the cement phase. This treatment prevents ASR-induced expansion and cracking, extending the service life of concrete structures exposed to high-alkali environments.
Key Benefits
Application Guide
Surface Preparation: Ensure the surface is clean and free from coatings, paints, or other contaminants that may inhibit penetration. If necessary, clean with SurCoClean before application.
Application Method: Apply using a roller, brush, or airless sprayer. Ensure full saturation of the substrate.
Absorption & Drying: Allow the product to penetrate into the concrete. Typical drying time is 1-2 hours before applying additional treatments.
Reapplication & Compatibility: A minimum of two applications is usually required for full ASR mitigation. Ensure any residue is removed before applying overlays, coatings, or membranes.
