VCI DTM 5

Direct-to-Metal Corrosion Inhibitor for Industrial & Marine Applications

Long-Lasting Corrosion Protection for Metal Surfaces

VCI DTM 5 is a solvent-based vapor-phase corrosion inhibitor (VCI) engineered for direct-to-metal applications. It is designed to protect machinery, equipment, structural steel, and metal components exposed to moisture, salt, and corrosive environments. This treatment forms a self-replenishing protective film that prevents rust while remaining thin and non-intrusive to mechanical functionality.

Key Benefits

✅ Provides long-lasting corrosion protection for exposed metal surfaces.
✅ Penetrates and protects inaccessible and recessed areas.
✅ Forms a clear, thin protective film that does not interfere with mechanical components.
✅ Self-replenishing protection when disturbed by moisture.
✅ Prevents further corrosion on pre-coated and painted surfaces.
✅ Compatible with various metal substrates, including carbon and stainless steel.
✅ Easily removable when necessary, ensuring versatility in applications.

Application Guide

Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are free of loose rust, debris, and contaminants. For best results, remove any dirt or oils before application.

Application Method: Apply using a brush, roller, or low-pressure sprayer. For stored metal assets or hard-to-maintain areas, apply liberally to ensure full coverage.

Absorption & Drying: Allow the inhibitor to absorb into the surface. The protective layer forms as the solvent evaporates.

Reapplication & Compatibility: If additional protection is needed, a second application may be performed. VCI DTM 5 is compatible with most coatings and sealants.
